The final day of competition here at the Global Amateur Tour Mexican Leg, we saw our Children’s High riders take to the international stage for their final round on international soil.
First out was Harriet Smith (Australia ), a determined ride saw her fly through the flags with an unfortunate 4 faults, showing her class at only 12 years of age.
The track proved tough as the class progress, leaving Harriet in 11th place.
Rebecca Andersen (New Zealand ) proved her consistency on her borrowed mount, also finishing on 4 faults for 10th place.
Leonardo Gomez (Chile ) also finished on 4 faults to take home 8th place.
James Hosie (Australia ), Sophie Shaffer (Australia ) and Kadell Sykes (Australia ) each had their own hurdles to overcome on track, all showing great sportsmanship and proving they are riders to watch out for in the future.
The day belonged to Cassidy Sullivan (Australia ) who rode a slick round also leaving her on 4 faults. Her effective corners moved her into 7th place for the Children’s High Final and 8th place overall in the series.
Cassidy also rode off with the Best Foreign Rider of the category to wrap up an extremely successful first taste of international exposure.
