CHIO Aachen Germany Training Tour
Experience riding in Germany the mecca of equestrian sport with the Global Amateur Tour’s German training experience. This exclusive opportunity allows riders to train in the picturesque German countryside on quality borrowed sport horses.
This extraordinary destination offers an international training experience like no other. Riders will receive daily training with international Showjumper Steffen Hauter, a 5 times German Nation's Cup Team member, and Grand Prix rider Jamie Campbell, a New Zealand national performance selector and trainer.
Elevate your riding skills with daily clinics including a fun and relaxed training show and expand your equestrian knowledge through seminars led by industry experts on mental skills, course walking, and more.
In between training, riders and spectators will have the opportunity to sightsee, visit one of the largest tack shops in the region, and attend the CHIO Aachen World Equestrian Festival - the most famous equestrian event in the world.

About the tour
The coaches:
Steffen Hauter
Based in Grossteinhausen, Germany Steffen is an international Showjumper and a 5 times German Nation's Cup Team member.
Fluent in German and English, he has won many international Grand Prix classes and is a world-renowned trainer, regularly conducting clinics in the USA, Mexico, UAE, Jordan, Luxembourg, and across Europe.

Jamie Campbell
Based in Auckland, New Zealand Jamie is a Grand Prix rider and New Zealand national performance selector and trainer. Jamie has been a part of the Global Amateur Tour team for the last two years and is also one of our trainers for GAT France.

The training and activities:

Riders will receive training with our world-class coaches, as well as the chance to compete on their borrowed sport horse in a fun and relaxed training show

Spectate at the CHIO Aachen World Equestrian festival

Rider fitness sessions to help you improve your fitness and posture in the saddle

Sightseeing opportunities, such as visiting the magnificent Heidelberg Castle or hopping across the border to Colmar, France

The location:
The training stable is located in Grossteinausen in Germany a serene village that offers a unique blend of rural tranquility and cultural heritage. Known for its well-preserved landscapes and traditional architecture, it provides a perfect backdrop for relaxation and nature walks. The village is also an excellent base for exploring the larger Rhineland-Palatinate region, known for its vineyards and historical sites. Grossteinausen's proximity to larger cities adds charm, making it an ideal spot for those looking to experience the quiet countryside while still being close to urban amenities.

Our hotel is located in Zweibrücken just 15 minutes drive from the stable and walking distance to the city centre. It has an excellent restaurant on-site as well as a sister restaurant and beer garden 100m away.

The logistics:
The base package includes hotel-style accommodation in a standard twin-share room (single and superior options available at additional cost)
Our tour Chef d'equipe will assist the selected riders throughout the trip and the GAT team and our official travel partners provide administrative support with flights, accommodation, insurance etc before the event.
