Expressions of interest are open for riders to apply for the Global Amateur Tour Training Experience in Grossteinhausen Germany June/July 2025 (please note at this stage dates are approximate only and subject to change) ​ 

Tour Length: 10 days

About the tour:

The mecca of equestrian sport, this extraordinary destination offers an international training experience like no other.   Riders will receive daily training with international Showjumper Steffen Hauter, a 5 times member of the German Nation's Cup Team, as well as the chance to compete on their borrowed horse in a fun and relaxed training show. In between training, riders and spectators will have the opportunity to sightsee, visit stables of other elite riders, expand their knowledge base through informative seminars and and attend CHIO Aachen World Equestrian Festival - one of the most famous equestrian events in the world.  A fluent English speaker, Steffen is based in Grossteinhausen, Germany. He has won many international Grand Prix's and is a world renowned trainer, regularly conducting clinics in the USA, Mexico, UAE, Jordan, Luxembourg and across Europe.

Grossteinausen in Germany is a serene village that offers a unique blend of rural tranquility and cultural heritage. Known for its well-preserved landscapes and traditional architecture, it provides a perfect backdrop for relaxation and nature walks. The village is also an excellent base for exploring the larger Rhineland-Palatinate region, known for its vineyards and historical sites. Grossteinausen's proximity to larger cities adds to its charm, making it an ideal spot for those looking to experience the quiet countryside while still being close to urban amenities.  The tour Chef d'equipe will assist the selected riders throughout the trip, as well as providing administrative support with flights, accommodation, etc prior to the event.   

Rider cost:

  • USD $6500 - $7500
  • Price estimate excludes flights and travel insurance and includes, accommodation, horse lease, horse transport, training competition entry, stabling, attendance at CHIO Aachen, venue transfers, any included sightseeing, some meals, activities plus accompanying Chef d'equipe.
  • This cost is based on current charges and exchange rates and is an estimate only

Supporter cost:

  • USD $3000-$4000
  • Price estimate excludes flights and travel insurance and includes, accommodation, some meals, venue transfers, attendance at CHIO Aachen, any included sightseeing activities plus accompanying Chef d'equipe
  • This cost is based on current charges and exchange rates and is an estimate only

Terms and conditions:

  • An adult must accompany riders under 18
  • A full list of tour terms and conditions can be provided on request, this will form part of your pre travel documentation to be signed prior to departure
